There are also extensive collections of tapes in private libraries. The majority of these are recordings of services and rehearsals at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. They are valuable documents of Healey Willan’s plainsong accompaniments, improvisations, and performances of his own works. Regrettably, many of them are marred by extraneous noise.
